W Jacobson was founded in 1946 by Wolfie Jacobson. He began in Bree St, trading mainly in kraft paper and twine. As his business grew, he relocated to Paarden Eiland, where he began converting paper.

In 1979, the company was sold to Messrs Petter Lie & James Gore, who brought their experience in paper from Norway and various African countries. Their main target markets being the textile, packaging and paint industry, they rapidly expanded  by acquiring more converting facilities.

Having run W Jacobson for 30 years, Messrs Lie & Gore decided to retire and sold the company in May 2009. This company was then resold in June 2016.

Our main activity is the converting of paper Jumbo's from 455mm width up to 2000mm width, as well as  sheeting into various sizes. We can convert paper from 20gsm up to 400gsm.
